Endrick from Real Madrid Says Footballers Should Appreciate Their Privileges Over Pressure
Real Madrid Forward Endrick Challenges the Idea That Football Is Hard
Endrick, the young forward at Real Madrid, has downplayed the pressure professional footballers face. Instead, he pointed out how ordinary workers endure much tougher lives. The Brazil international emphasized that players should feel grateful for their high earnings rather than complain about the demands of the sport.
A Realistic View from a Rising Star
While on international duty with Brazil's Selecao, Endrick spoke openly about the pressures in football today. He acknowledged tense moments during matches but insisted that playing football at the highest level is not as tough as many claim. According to him, the huge salaries top players receive can transform their families' futures in ways most workers can't imagine.
Rejecting Complaints About Football's Demands
In an interview with Brazilian TV channel TV Globo, Endrick urged players to appreciate what the sport offers. He said: "We [footballers] face enormous pressure, but we have to be grateful for what football provides us. Of course there are high-pressure moments, but football gives us wonderful things that can change our families' lives."He went on to say, "It isn't hard being a footballer. Yes, some things are difficult, but we cannot say being a player is hard. What's hard is waking up at 5am and working Monday to Sunday."
Gratitude Over Complaints
Despite his youth, Endrick showed maturity by putting football's luxuries into perspective. Instead of focusing on external demands or pressure, he reminded fellow professionals to be thankful for their position. The forward concluded, "We are inside football, doing what we love most and earning money that can change our family's life. We just have to thank God for this moment."
Upcoming Matches and Playing Time
After starting in Brazil's 1-1 draw against Australia in Townsville, Endrick might be rested for the next friendly match in Brisbane. Coach Carlo Ancelotti plans to rotate the squad before Brazil ends their tour with a game against India. When the international break finishes, the teenager will return to Spain aiming to earn more minutes at Real Madrid, having played only four minutes so far this season.
