Court McGee Explains Why UFC 332 Will Be His Final MMA Bout

Court McGee Sets UFC 332 as His Last Fight

UFC welterweight veteran Court McGee has confirmed that his upcoming bout at UFC 332 will mark the end of his mixed martial arts career. The fight is scheduled for Saturday at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, where McGee will face Eric Nolan in the opening preliminary match.

McGee Reflects on His Decision to Retire

Since winning Season 11 of The Ultimate Fighter back in 2010, McGee has been a steady presence in the UFC. Now 41 years old, the Utah native shared his thoughts on why he chose this fight as his farewell to the sport.

"Yeah, it's a retirement fight, but I knew it a couple of years ago when I signed this four-fight deal, so I knew it was coming to an end, and I felt confident with it. Before that, with the neck injury, I thought I was done and I was going to leave a fight on the table, and after fulfilling that last one, I hadn’t felt that good in years. I feel really good. I feel really healthy, but I’m 41 and I’ll be turning 42 this year. Like they say, it’s a young man’s sport, and I want to make sure I have my wits about me when I’m done. I have three kids; I’m married. I have a gym. There’s a lot of life ahead of me after 40. I feel good about my decision. I made that decision with those who are close to me, and I’m OK with it. I’ve made peace with it," McGee said.

Matchup and Odds at UFC 332

Heading into the fight, McGee is considered the underdog with betting odds set at +190, while Nolan is favored at -225. Despite Nolan holding an 0-2 UFC record, his youth, resilience, and knockout power contrast with McGee's vast experience, cardio, and wrestling skills. Fans are expected to rally behind McGee, making the contest intriguing regardless of the odds.
