Bournemouth Sets £100m Price for Alex Scott Amid Chelsea and Liverpool Interest

Bournemouth Open to Selling Alex Scott for £100 Million in January

Bournemouth has shifted its stance on midfielder Alex Scott, considering a sale in the upcoming January transfer window. The England international, attracting attention from top Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool, could leave if certain conditions are fulfilled.

Club’s Conditions for Selling Scott

The 23-year-old player has expressed interest in new challenges after reportedly rejecting two contract renewals last season. Although Bournemouth initially declared Scott off-limits during the summer and recent international breaks, talks between club officials and the player's representatives led to a reassessment of their position.

According to BBC, the club would consider offers around £100 million for Scott. This price matches the rising market rates for top central midfielders but comes with an important caveat: Bournemouth will only allow a transfer if they have secured their Premier League status and are not facing relegation struggles.

Interest from Chelsea and Liverpool

Every Premier League Big Six club has shown interest, but Chelsea and Liverpool stand out as the most eager suitors. Chelsea made several bids during the summer, with a highest offer of £60 million plus potential add-ons reaching £64 million, all turned down by Bournemouth who felt Scott's value was far higher.

Liverpool remain keen and could intensify their pursuit in January, leveraging manager Andoni Iraola’s strong ties with Bournemouth. Scott is seen as fitting well into Liverpool's tactical setup.

Scott's Injury May Impact Transfer Talks

Complicating matters, Scott recently suffered a thigh injury during England's 7-0 Nations League win over Croatia. He reportedly entered the national camp with minor muscle tightness that worsened, meaning he could be sidelined for about a month. This setback might slow down negotiations or affect his readiness for a mid-season move.
