Sorba Thomas Escapes Injury in Car Crash Near Hull City Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped injury after his car overturned in a crash close to the club’s training base on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old was involved in an incident on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, a short distance from Hull’s facilities. Images from the scene showed a grey Land Rover Defender on its roof, windows smashed, resting awkwardly across the road.

Thomas, who joined the Tigers from Stoke City earlier this month, managed to walk away from the wreckage without any injuries.

Humberside Police confirmed that emergency services remained at the scene as investigations continued and urged the public to stay away from the area while they worked.

Hull City moved quickly to calm growing concern among supporters after photographs of the overturned vehicle began circulating online. In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn Thomas was unharmed and stressed there was no lasting damage beyond the car itself.

“The club is aware of images of Sorba's car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed,” Hull added.

For a player settling into a new club and a fanbase eager to see him in full flow, the only thing that mattered on Friday was simple: Sorba Thomas walked away.
