The Americans crushed the Czech Republic 105–64 in Berlin on Monday, sealing a perfect 3–0 sweep of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup group phase and booking a direct ticket to the quarterfinals. The scoreline was ruthless. The response from Clark was just as sharp.

Clark answers a rough night

Twenty-four hours earlier, Clark had endured the kind of game that sticks in a scorer’s mind. Against Italy, she finished with one point, four rebounds and one assist. No field goals. Against Czechia, she refused to let that linger.

The Americans overwhelmed Czechia with depth, pace and relentless pressure, turning the contest into a mismatch long before the final buzzer. The 41-point margin underlined the gulf in class and the seriousness with which this USA squad is treating every step of the tournament.
