PSG Faces Significant Injury Crisis After Victory Over Barcelona
Paris Saint-Germain celebrated a thrilling 4-2 victory over Barcelona, but the joy was dampened by injuries to key players. Coach Luis Enrique now confronts tough decisions as three important members of the squad face weeks or months out.
Injuries Shake Up Parc des Princes
The clash with Barcelona left PSG counting more than just goals. The medical team is stretched thin with crucial players sidelined. Winger Ousmane Dembele was forced off after 19 minutes, clutching his left leg. Initial exams hint at a significant problem that will keep him out for about three to four weeks, according to Le Parisien. This absence hits hard as PSG tries to hold their lead in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League standings.
Dembele and Marquinhos Out for Weeks
Defensive captain Marquinhos also suffered a right thigh injury in the same game. As a cornerstone of PSG’s defense, his loss leaves a gap difficult to fill. The club confirmed Marquinhos will be sidelined for several weeks amid a demanding autumn schedule filled with critical matches domestically and in Europe.
Dembele's injury also jeopardizes his chances of joining the French national team during the next international window. His role for France now looks uncertain, with medical staff ruling out longer-term damage but confirming the setback as significant.

Kvaratskhelia Faces Season-Ending Injury
The harshest blow came for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee after a collision in the 59th minute against Barcelona. PSG confirmed he will have surgery soon, with recovery expected to take at least nine months, ruling him out for the season.
"Not much time has passed, yet one thought keeps circling in my head: why me? I never held anything back," Kvaratskhelia shared on Instagram, revealing the mental struggle caused by the injury.
The Georgian forward’s absence will be felt deeply as PSG navigate the rest of the season without one of their most dynamic attackers.
