JunYong Park Makes His Comeback at UFC Saudi Arabia
JunYong Park Returns to the Octagon in Riyadh
Middleweight contender JunYong Park, known as “The Iron Turtle,” is set to fight again at UFC Saudi Arabia. The event will be held on Saturday, December 5, at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Rumors suggest the main event features a five-round middleweight bout between strikers Israel Adesanya and Shara Magomedov.
Park vs. Marco Tulio Confirmed
According to AG Fight and confirmed by Heavy.com’s Marcel Dorff, JunYong Park will face Brazilian knockout artist Marco Tulio at this card. Tulio joined the UFC in 2025 after impressing on Dana White’s Contender Series with two wins.
Park’s UFC Journey
At 35 years old, Park entered the UFC in 2019 and has since compiled a 9-4 record inside the Octagon. Some of his notable victories include wins over Ismail Naurdiev, Brad Tavares, and Marc-Andre Barriault. He hasn’t fought yet in 2026, with his last appearance ending in a unanimous decision loss to Ikram Aliskerov at UFC 321 in October 2025.
Despite that setback, Park remains a tough competitor in the 185-pound division. He is known for his durability, solid ground game, and competent striking skills.
Marco Tulio’s Recent Form
Marco Tulio started strong in the UFC, winning his first two fights by knockout against Ihor Potieria and Tresean Gore. However, he has struggled recently, suffering consecutive losses to Christian Leroy Duncan and Roman Kopylov.
Even with those defeats, Tulio remains dangerous due to his knockout power—one clean shot can end the fight.
Clash of Styles Expected
This matchup promises an exciting contrast. Park will likely try to bring the fight to the mat, using his grappling to control the action. Tulio, on the other hand, will aim to keep things standing and look for his knockout punch.
The outcome may hinge on which fighter can impose their style and keep the fight in their preferred realm.
