Bundesliga Quiz: Identify the Bundesliga Footballer

Friday nights now come with a German accent on the BBC.

To mark live top-flight German football on the BBC Sport website, app and BBC iPlayer every Friday, a special Bundesliga edition of the popular “Who am I?” game is in play.

This week’s backdrop could hardly be bigger: champions Bayern Munich at home to Union Berlin, kick-off at 19:30 BST, live on BBC iPlayer and across the BBC Sport digital platforms. While Harry Kane and company go to work on the pitch, you get a different kind of challenge.

The concept stays sharp and simple. You’re given a mystery Bundesliga footballer to identify. Type in your guess. Get it wrong, and a fresh clue drops. Miss again, another hint. The tension isn’t just in finding the right name – it’s in how quickly you can get there.

The scoring is ruthless. Nail it in three clues and you’ve done well. Hit four or five and you’re into elite territory. Need more than that and the game starts to bite back.

Each set of clues has been put together by BBC Sport’s Adam Ellis, who has the job of staying one step ahead of your football brain.
