Bradley Barcola Set for €140m Move to Liverpool

Bradley Barcola is on the brink of becoming Liverpool’s latest statement signing, with the Paris Saint-Germain winger expected to fly to England on Saturday to complete a blockbuster €140m move.

Liverpool and PSG have reached an agreement over the fee, and the 23-year-old is due on Merseyside in the coming hours to finalise the final details, undergo his medical and put pen to paper. The contract on the table runs for five years, keeping the French international at Anfield until 2031.

Once the medical is done, the deal moves from inevitable to official.

For Barcola, it brings an end to a drawn-out saga that has rumbled on for weeks and, more significantly, closes a major chapter in a career that accelerated rapidly in Paris. He leaves PSG three years after arriving from Olympique Lyonnais, having grown from promising wide man into one of Europe’s most productive attackers.

The numbers back it up. Across 152 appearances in all competitions for Les Rouge et Bleu, Barcola has scored 39 goals and supplied 37 assists. He has not just padded stats; he has influenced trophy races. During his time in the capital, he helped PSG lift 13 trophies, among them two Champions Leagues and three Ligue 1 titles, establishing himself as a regular presence on the biggest stages.

His form at club level has translated into a solid international résumé. Barcola has already collected 28 caps for France, scoring six times, and arrives in England as a fully fledged international rather than a project for the future.

Liverpool are paying a premium price for a player entering his prime, a winger with end product and big-game experience already baked into his profile. PSG, for their part, cash out on a major asset they nurtured into a serial winner.

The flight to England will be short. The impact of this move on Liverpool’s attack, and on the balance of power at the top of European football, could last far longer.
