Arteta Signs New Contract with Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has reached agreement on a new, improved contract with Premier League champions Arsenal, tying the architect of their resurgence to the club well beyond this season.

His existing deal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign, a detail that had hovered in the background while Arsenal pushed themselves back to the top of English football.
