Hull City Condemns Racist Abuse of Robinio Vaz

Hull City’s unveiling of Robinio Vaz should have been a simple welcome to English football for a 19-year-old striker eager to prove himself. Instead, the club’s announcement descended into a grim snapshot of the game’s ugliest side.

Vaz arrives at Hull with his career still in its infancy but with a reputation as a promising talent. He scored once in Serie A last season for Roma and joins on loan with an option to buy at the end of the campaign — a deal that suggests Hull see him as more than a short-term gamble.
