Manchester United Set to Sign Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah

Manchester United are set to make a major attacking addition to their Women’s Super League squad after agreeing terms to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Häcken.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete her move before next Thursday’s transfer deadline, a late-window push that underlines United’s intent to sharpen their forward line for the second half of the season.

This is no bargain raid. Jusu Bah only signed an extension with Häcken in September 2025 and remains under contract until 2028, meaning United will pay a transfer fee, though the figure remains undisclosed. For a player tied down that long, it is a clear investment rather than an opportunistic swoop.

Jusu Bah has spent her entire career in Sweden, first breaking through at Umeå before earning her move to Häcken in 2023. Her rise has been steady, then suddenly steep. In May, she played a key role as Häcken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, a landmark moment for the club and a showcase of her ability on a European stage.

Her performances at club level have translated into international recognition. Jusu Bah has already made 11 appearances for Sweden and featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, a sign of the trust placed in her at the highest level.

United are not stopping there. The club are understood to be targeting at least one more signing before next week’s deadline, building on a window that has already seen defender Andrea Medina arrive from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig join from Leicester City.
