"The words that come through in those conversations make me really happy. It's inevitable at some point you need to have certain discussions and say certain things that sometimes are tough."

So Jesus trains apart, with his future hanging in the balance and the market closing in. Arsenal know the stakes. His contract runs out next year. This is their last realistic opportunity to bring in a significant fee before he can walk away for nothing.
